Spanish Super Cup 2012: Reasons Behind the Defeat

Spanish super cup 2012

Final score of the el clasico second leg result is Real Madrid 2 Barcelona 1. Like all Barcelona fans all over the world, I am also very upset, but I am not frustrated like many because there are many positive things–It could have been a humiliation; Tito Vilanova took a good decision by giving a chance to Alex Song; Messi can take brilliant free-kick and a good lesson learned by Barcelona at the beginning of the LONG La Liga.  It was a dream of Jose Mourinho to play against ten Barca players, finally fulfilled.

What are the Reasons?

The first reason will pop up in anyone’s mind is the goal of Angel Di Maria, assisted by Victor Valdes in the Spanish Super Cup, first leg. Have no doubt; it was a mistake, a BIG mistake. But did you watch the saves he made in the last match. I bet if it were Pinto, then it could be humiliation like 5-1, 6-1 very easily. I do not forget the mistake of Victor Valdes in the second lag as well. CR7 should have been STOPPED. But the first goal came from the mistake of Mascherano. Simply put, we lost because of Valdes, but we also escaped the humiliation because of Valdes. He is the first choice and will be the same for a long time for us.

What the hell this man was doing? He was a replacement of Dani Alves, but he played RUBBISH. He was so excited that he forgot to tackle well. He should have been given a yellow card earlier. And the RED CARD? He could have escaped. He tackled Ronaldo well, but then showed us the RUBBISH movement. Barcelona missed the sharpness to attack with ten men. Montoya played well indeed.

This is one of the two worst matches for this Argentine international. He was kept quiet both in the first and second leg. THE INCREDIBLE free-kick is nothing but a consolation. He was just messing around. It was not his fault though. Madrid controlled the game. He played so DEEP for getting the ball. I wish the last minute shot of Messi…………..

Xavi+ Iniesta?
Both showed the opposite reflection of the first leg of Spanish Super Cup 2012. They are the best mid fielders in the world. Fans do EXPECT a lot from them.
I am happy because we escaped a humiliation. Each and every Barca fans were scared after the two early goals. How about a 6-2 score line? But I am not also very happy with the 2-1 score line. This is only the beginning of 2012-13 season and Tito Vilanova. LEAGUE NEVER LIES. We are already 5 points ahead. Just forget the Spanish Super Cup 2012 and wish our team a WIN against Valencia. Visca el Barca.
