Final Result Elche vs Barcelona 24-1-2015
Third time in less than a month Barcelona faced Elche. And again it didn’t go well as Elche hoped. After the game started we didn’t see much, but in the 14th minute Jordi Alba amazed us with his move. He received a nice ball in the penalty area and shot straight away, but the ball went few inches beside the left goal post. Barcelona played really well with short passes, and Messi had a great shot from free kick in the 21th minute, but again Barcelona didn’t have luck to score. Elche also had its chance when Claudio Bravo stopped Fajr’s shot in the 24th minute.

For the first goal we had to wait until 35th minute, when Pique shot towards goal, the ball grazed one Elche player and finished in the net. It was 0:1 for Barcelona. Until the end of the first half we didn’t see much, but Elche played a rough game and ended up with 5 yellow cards.

After the start in the second half, Barcelona carried on with their attacks and that was awarded in the 55th minute when Lionel Messi scored from a penalty. In the 57th minute, Fajr received another yellow card and that meant Elche will end the game with 10 players.  From that moment Elche was only thinking on how to finish a game with as less goal as possible. Barcelona had another idea and in the 61th and 71th minute Messi and Neymar scored again. It was obvious that Barcelona again will score a lot of goals when playing against Elche.
