FIFA just released the name of the nominees of FIFA Ballon d’Or 2012. Only 3 players are now competing each other, and they are none other than Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, and Cristiano  Ronaldo.

Messi did not have a very good last season when it comes to winning title. Wearing #10 jersey of Barcelona, he achieved only Copa del Rey. But, when it comes to individual performance, he has done a lot of things which is even difficult to remember. This Argentine international is now on 82. He needs only 4 goals to pass Gerd Muller to be the highest goal scorer in one calender year. Chances are pretty high that he will make it. He is the first player on the planet Earth who has been nominated for this best player award for the 6th time. If he wins, he will be the first player ever to win this prestigious award four times. Already he is the first player ever to win this award three times win a row.
