FC Barcelona vs. Villareal La Liga February 1 2015
Seeking on to continue their streak, Barcelona hosted Villarreal at Camp Nou. Villarreal is playing great this season, especially against major clubs, and they didn’t come to go down without a fight.

Barcelona was a better team in the beginning, with Suarez having the first major chance in the 13th minute when Asenjo did great and defended his goal. Barcelona continued with their attacks but Villarreal was the first to score. Denis Cheryshev managed to pull out a great volley kick in the 30th minute and Villarreal was in the lead. But unfortunately for them, the lead didn’t last long, because Neymar evened the score in the 45th minute. The result on the halftime was 1:1.

The second half started in the same manner, with Rafinha having a great chance for Barcelona. We didn’t have to wait long for goals, because Luciano Vietto scored a goal for 1:2 in the 51st minute. Giovani dos Santos, former Barcelona player assisted. It didn’t take long for Barcelona to strike back. In only 2 minutes, they got it and got the lead. First, Rafina scored a beautiful goal in the 53rd minute for 2:2. And just 2 minutes after that Lionel Messi assisted for Luis Suarez who scored his second goal in the game, and Barcelona was in the lead.

Villarreal could have pulled back in the 65th minute, but Victor Ruiz’s goal was canceled after an offside position. Until the end of the game we didn’t see that many chances and it ended with the win for Barcelona. Final score was 3:2.
We enjoyed a fine game, with Villarreal really upsetting Barcelona, but they didn’t have the strength to finish the job. Now Barcelona is only one point behind Real Madrid, but they have also one game more than them.
